Hi, I’m Maurice Leger and I’m from Shediac. I’ve lived here most of my life and retired about 6 years ago and started driving for WA Transpo (Westmorland Albert Transpo) about 5 years ago before the amalgamation and expansion of the services. It was much easier to say than Urban Rural Rides lol. I live alone with my Dog Karma and I have plenty of time and love driving. I’m not much for crowds or large groups but I really do enjoy the one on one conversation I have with my clients. This responsibility I took on does suit me very well. I have worked in the service industry for most of my life. I’m a giver by nature and by doing this I hope that when it comes to my turn that there will be someone to help me as well. I do lots of rides and have gone as far as Miramichi and Bathurst but most rides are from Shediac to Moncton. It never feels like work because I can always decline a drive request and also we get reimbursed for the millage we put in and for me it covers the gas, wear and tear and depreciation on my vehicle.
